Waiting for the Cattle Drive

Visiting family in Fort Collins, Colorado usually brings some kind of unusual happening. This cowboy was guiding some cattle down the road to another pasture. Not a usual sight in my area of New Hampshire but very usual in this area of Colorado. A quick snapshot out the car window yielded a great cloud filled sky and a perspective from below the rider that lends a dramatic angle to the view. I was simply taking the shot to try to capture a bit of the cowboy but actually got a lot more. I have considered what a cool composition it could be with a strong horizontal design with the gorgeous blue-sky backdrop. It will be well worth it when this idea makes it to the top of my list of things to do. Have you ever taken a photo and later realized it was better than you thought? Share it.
